Board Guidelines
**These rules are subject to change.
**These are the basic forum rules. Make sure you read any other rules posted in the different sections of the forum.

THE BASICS
By signing up to this forum, you agreed to the following rules and regulations. Disregarding them will result in the punishments explained afterwards.

Accounts
Each member is allowed ONE account. Multiple accounts for one user will result in permanent bans for all the accounts. In other words, don't do it.

Don't share accounts. Sign up is free and easy to do. If you share accounts, a staff member will contact you and you will get suspended until the situation clears up. Special circumstances do not apply.

Behavior
Be respectful towards other members. We will not tolerate name calling, flaming, or harassing of other members. Leave your drama for the real world.

Obey the staff that help run the forum, and show some respect. We created this site for you to enjoy, so please listen to us. If you do not agree with one of the staff members, feel free to PM or Email another Admin explaining the problem. You may or may not be listened to.

Obey these rules and guidelines, as well as any other rules in each section of the forum. Doing so will ensure a fun, open environment for everyone to enjoy.

Posting
Please use proper spelling and grammar. I know a lot of people who LyKe tO tYpE lYke DiS, but that can be a real pain to read. Leet and chatspeak are also not allowed.

Do not troll (posting disruptive or annoying comments to purposely incite trouble and be a jerk) or spam (going off-topic or double-posting). Please make sure your post contributes to the topic and allows others to respond to your posts.

Religion
There is to be no discussion of religion. Here you are all persecuted equally.

THE PENALTIES
The rules are pretty basic and easy to follow. If you disobey the rules, the consequences can be moderate to severe. The following are descriptions of the different types of penalties you can expect:

"Verbal" Warn
A verbal warn is when a staff member notices you breaking the rules and either sends you a PM or posts in the thread asking you to stop and correct your behavior.

After two verbal warns, you will receive a board warn.

Board Warn
A board warn means that you did something wrong and the staff had to send you a formal PM to address the issue. When this happens, your warning percentage increases. You can find your warning bar a few lines under your username. Only you and the staff can see your warn level.

When you receive a warning, you will receive a PM explaining why and what you can do to prevent any problems in the future. If your warn level ever reaches 100%, you will be suspended from the site. It's up to you to keep track of your warn level.

A staff member can reduce your warn level if you prove that your behavior has improved. DO NOT ASK the staff to remove your warn - you'll just end up getting in more trouble.

Suspension
There are two types of suspensions in the forum. One is a posting suspension. This means that you can sign on to the forum and read through the threads, but that's it. You cannot create new threads, you cannot post responses or vote in polls.

The second type is an account suspension. During an account suspension, you cannot log into the forum at all.

The length of the suspension and which type you get depends on the severity of the situation.

FORUM RANKS
As your post count increases, your rank on the forum will increase. Here are the current ranks and minimum post requirements to get the rank.

Aspiring Writer..........0
Editor-in-Training......150
Publisher..................300
Literary Agent...........600
Best-Seller................1200
Famous Author.........5000

These ranks are subject to change as more members join the forum and more posts are accumulated.

If you disagree with any punishment you receive, please contact the Head Admin so we can review the situation and act accordingly. If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM to the staff or post in the "Questions" thread.
